Re: Exhibeo with SSL/HTTPS (from FW)

Is the Exhibeo gallery called "Exhibeo"?

I can see a box called "Exhibeo" inside another box called "Exhibeo-box" - but the inner box is empty and the outer box does not contain any other content:

<DIV ID="Exhibeo-box"><DIV ID="Exhibeo"></DIV></DIV>

The file is called:

UGP-portraits.exhibeo

Is that the Exhibeo file that exported the gallery?

I don't see an Exhibeo gallery on the page you linked to ( https://www.grantsymon.com/c/UneGlaceParis/ugp-portraits.html ), but I do see an empty box that has an "Exhibeo" ID and presumably corresponds to a box called "Exhibeo" in your Freeway document. So it seems like the gallery isn't being published by Freeway.

Something that might be worth checking is: are you using the Exhibeo 2 Action (rather than the original Exhibeo Action) in Freeway?

Yes, I named the box in FW (Name/ID)- 'Exhibeo'.

I'm using the action 'Exhibeo 2 Import'

I think there's a problem with the Resources not being found... I'll sort that out and hopefully it'll fix it.

Re: Exhibeo with SSL/HTTPS (from FW)

I don't know how, but a large amount of the Resources have gotten messed up.

So going through and updating via the Edit Resources window, is slow but okay... until I come to everything that is inside the .xbExport file, which being a Package, I can't access the files within it from the Edit Resources Dialog, in order to update the Resources. 😕

I've tried re-running the Action for a gallery (redoing Select in the Actions window) but it hasn't changed anything.

I've also tried going back to a previous vs of my FW file, via Time Machine, but it produced the same errors.

Any ideas what could be going wrong?

Re. selecting the gallery in the Actions window, did you try first selecting None and then selecting the gallery? That can clear things up in a way that selecting the same export package might not.

Thanks for the reply Simon.

In the end, re-installing the Exhibeo Action, then subsequently re-selecting the appropriate .xbExport files, forced them to re-upload.

FWIW, this is on a Mac that is used exclusively for FW, so I suppose the Exhibeo update may have caused a problem for the Action...

Anyway, all good now.

Blank Exhibeo gallery

Edited

Folks:

I have exported a gallery (Showtime) with the intention of integrating it with a CMS (not WordPress). Without the CSS, the main image is shown and the gallery appears as a standard HTML list. Obviously, this is normal as there is no styling.

When the CSS is added, the entire gallery just disappears. Not empty boxes or something like that. Just what looks like a completely missing DIV. The source code shows that everything is loaded correctly, though.

I would expect that the javascript would be the culprit but the file seems to be linked correctly.

I attempted to remove the script generated link to the js file and just went with everything after "window.xb_showtime" after the script tag and added a straight link to the script in the header. No luck.

Any assistance would be great.

EDIT

I have played with this a great deal more and narrowed it down to what seems to be a JQuery version conflict. The site nav menu relies on JQuery 3.1.1 while Exhibeo relies on JQuery 1.7. The upshot is that either the gallery works or the nav works but not both. And no, this is not my code. I inherited something of a mess on the code side.

I have attempted the use jQuery.noConflict( true ); to resolve this without success.

If anyone has insight on how to resolve this, I'd appreciate it. Otherwise I'll have to either replace the nav or use something other than Exhibeo for the gallery. Perfectly possible to do either but I'd rather they live happily together.

Problems with trial version

Guido

Hello,  I downloaded the trial version of the latest Exhibeo to use with Xway. I have a mac mini running Catalina. My problem is that I cannot select images in "Image View" to rearrange the order as directed in the help guide. The image disappears and then comes back as a double image overlapping other images and then disappearing again or else does nothing at all. I've tried reinstalling and re-downloading and still get the same results. Any suggestions, as I would really like to use this software.

Hi,

This is a bug in Exhibeo 2.0.4. We're hoping to release a new version shortly, perhaps later today...

Looking forward to it, thanks.

Hyperlink

Guido

Everything worked great in 2.0.5 as to selecting and reordering images, thanks! Imported component into Xway with no problems. My question is how to add hyperlink to a slide. The smart link option is checked.  I've tried pasting the link in the url section and the main text area in the metadata view, but don't see it as a link the preview or in the xway component when inserted into Xway, (which by the way looks great and will save me many hours). What steps am I missing?

Re: Hyperlink

I'm not sure what you mean by "smart link option". Which theme are you using?

Jeremy

Re: Hyperlink

Jeremy Hughes

Just to elaborate: there is a known problem with links when the Slide theme is used (in Freeway or Xway).

We're planning to fix this in a future update, and we may be able to give you a workaround for now.

Jeremy

Re: Hyperlink

Guido

The Photoswipe theme. Smart link option was in the help guide. When you right click, it's under substitutions. Supposed to imbed the link in the text, so I'm guessing.

Re: Hyperlink

I'm afraid the answer seems to be that links aren't currently supported in Photoswipe galleries (in Freeway or Xway).

They should work with other galleries, except Slide (where there is a known issue). I've logged a new issue for Photoswipe.

Thanks, I'll now be buying Exhibeo thanks to your helpfulness and quick replies.
